OMG I just trashed my precious video! Can I get it back? How?
Important: DO NOT TRASH any more videos before you attempt to salvage a video from the trash.
- Any other trashed videos might replace the one you are trying to salvage.
- This is because Trash container has limits, and new trashed videos keep replacing the older ones.

----------
To salvage the video, (that is, if it is still possible), first navigate to Dideye's documents folder using iTunes.

Then find the trashed file you are looking for.
- The files have dates and times written on them, use that info to try to find the right file.
- Maximizing the iTunes window will help to see the full name of the trash files.

Backup the chosen file by selecting it and clicking the "save to…" button on iTunes.

Alternatively, simply backup the whole trash to your Mac or PC. Do this by selecting all trash files and saving them. Then browse through them on your computer.

----------
Read other FAQs for further details on the procedure. Namely, on how to access Dideye's documents folder.

Remember to read the "Usage Instructions" text file that is inside Dideye's documents folder, for it has detailed explanations on the file name structure and trash limitations, among other things.
The app interface does not rotate. Why?
When you rotate your device, Dideye's interface will rotate:
- unless a movie is currently being recorded;
- unless the device rotation is locked in device's control center.

"Control center" is that menu you can drag/pull up from the bottom of the screen, all across iOS.
I tapped finish, to save video. Where was it saved?
a)
If Dideye is granted access to "photo albums", it saves the video to an iOS Photos album.

After Dideye reports the video as saved, it might take some time for a video to appear, please give it a moment.

If after some time (a larger video may take longer), the video still did not appear in the iOS Photos album, try launching Dideye again.

Note: Upon entry, Dideye always checks for any due deliveries to iOS Photos and attempts to make them.

b)
If however, Dideye has restricted access to iOS Photos, it saves the video internally in its documents folder.

Dideye's documents folder is accessible through iTunes when your device is connected to a Mac or PC.

Refer to the other FAQs for more info on this matter, namely on how to access the documents folder and how to lift up the restrictions to iOS Photos.

IMPORTANT: Deleting the app, permanently deletes any videos that were not yet moved to iOS Photos and that you have not backed up.

We will not, under any circumstance, accept responsibility for any damage you may cause to your files.
How do I grant Dideye access to photo albums?

- Alternatively, go to device "Settings" and enable the option at Dideye > Privacy > Camera.

b) You may have actively restricted access to the camera:

If you somehow, happen to be experiencing frequent absence of camera feed, please contact support.

I already backed up all videos that were inside Dideye's documents. Now how do I delete them?
Please read the "Usage instructions" file that is inside Dideye's documents folder, for instructions on how to permanently erase all videos from Dideye's documents after you have backed them up.
I need space. Dideye is too big. How do I empty Dideye trash?
Please read "Usage instructions" file in Dideye documents folder, for instructions on how to erase the biggest trash files.

If you find that that is not enough, you can always keep recording and trashing, many small movies. They will keep replacing the older movies in trash. And like that you will slim down the total trash size to almost nothing.

There is no direct way to empty all trash. Except completely deleting the app, which permanently deletes not only the trash, but any other movie content that was only saved inside Dideye and is not yet backed up.

Important: Dideye will not, under any circumstance, accept responsibility for any damage or loss of files.
